Clarice at Disneyland!

At the new "Celebrate! A Street Party" at Disneyland, I saw Clarice, Chip and Dale's love interest in Jacck Hannah's Two Chips and a Miss (1952), as a character in the party! If you're going to Disneyland sometime soon, see the parade and you can see what I mean. But, don't get excited, have fun!

Guess who? 16mm Woody!

One time, a few years ago, my Dad and his friend brought over a 16mm film projecter and a 16mm Castle Films print of Walter Lantz's "Knock Knock" (1940), the film that was the debut appearance of (who would become) Woody Woodpecker. It was silent, edited, and in black-and-white, all I can remember is that it shoed the part where Andy Panda put the salt on Woody's tail and the woodpeckers in the white suits took him away. Share with me some other film prints (8, 16, or 35mm) of what you might have in store from the Baby Boom generation. Ha-ha-ha-HA-ha!

This blog is meant to inform and help animation historians and fans, professional or amatuer, about what's new in the animation world! See what lost titles were found by David Gerstein or what DVDs are announced by Jerry Beck! Comment me on what you believe in animation. I will post more soon, but until then, here is an animator's sketch of Betty, Bimbo, and Koko. Enjoy!
